FSC Certification You Can Trust

We at BIOGreen are happy to announce that both our product and product packaging bear the FSC seal. For us, the seal is more than just a logo. It is a mark issued collaboratively by NGOs and humanitarian organizations which showcases a system of forestry oversight that cares deeply about the health of both trees and communities. It is sponsored by food and consumer bodies, directors of national parks, and major conservation NGOs like WWF and Greenpeace. The WWF and Greenpeace endorsements lend the label credibility that far surpasses the trust given by most chain-store guarantees.

What does being FSC-certified mean?

FSC certification shows, in simple terms, that the vendors of wood and pulp pay attention to the societal benefits of their work rather than only focusing on monetary gain. The council requires open audits and documents showing chains of custody so purchasing parties can verify that every consignment leaves a responsibly managed forest. The mark of approval is endorsing a sustainably managed forestry economy.

Progress on the Ground
Recent estimates show that the area of certified forest exceeds 400 million hectares. This area is comparable to 10 times the size of California which would create a swathe shaped area of California. Even a fraction of the remaining land converted to FSC management would do more than add a single green star; it would tip the balance for resources. Helping FSC now pushes the tipping point a little closer.

What exactly is a FSC product?

The FSC logo guarantees that the product contains timber, paper, or forest based materials procured from forest specifically certified by the Council. Certification signifies that the timber harvest, land use, and even the socio-political environment of labor were done under strict green and social standards. At Biogreen, we ensure our supply chain strategy is centered on sustainability, so FSC materials are never an after-thought; they are the baseline. Our customers that choose our FSC lines can trust that their purchases support expertly managed woodlands and sustainable socio-political communities that depend on them.
