With the gentle warmth of the Punggol breeze, Sanz Pte Ltd – under our BIOGreen Community Service banner – brought National Day joy to All Saints Home this month. Stepping into the Hougang Centre, our team reminded ourselves and the residents of the quiet pride in “service to others.”
Sharing Joy Through Lively Activities
The day unfurled like a cheerful Singapore flag to celebrate the nation.
– Wheeling & Befriending: Joy began as traces of golden smiles. Volunteers wheeled residents from floor to floor, cherishing every sway, each soft memory. Our quiet chats offered the elderly a listening heart, while we carried home a shelf of life stories.
– Melodies and Memories: Songs of our home’s golden past—neighbourhood kampung anthems and childhood favourites—swirled like confetti. Side by side, young and young-at-heart filled the activity hall, sharing notes of joy and dusty memories, the air thick with familiar laughter.
A Heartfelt Dinner to Remember
Sunset saw morris responsible wheels of time. Sanz Pte Ltd prepared a special bento so that every heartbeat at the Home joined at the same long table. Boxes of rice, sambal chicken, and refreshing fruits were plated with life’s simple flavours. Forks and smiles moved together as stories flashed like shooting stars—an elderly uncle reminisced about the first NDP parade at the Padang while a young volunteer cheered along.
Continuing the Spirit of National Day
Sanz Pte Ltd and BIOGreen have teamed up yet again, this time to brighten the days of residents at Hougang All Saints Home. Their most recent celebration is a gentle nudge to all of us: our elderly loved ones need our sustained care, and even one small act of kindness stitches our community a little closer together.
Carrying the heart of National Day past the fireworks and the final song, we can all re-commit to the values that truly count—unity and compassion. Let’s make sure that each and every person among us feels at home and valued.
